UNESCO-World-Culture-inheritance - Cultural Capital of Europe
2000
One of the last undiscovered destinations in Europe:
the former Capital is today the most beautiful City
in Poland.
The architecture of the City could be described
as the "Florence of the Weichsel". Krakow is a lively
"academical" City, famous for its underground Bars,
with live Jazz and Cabaret.
The Cuisine is the best in Poland - simple traditional
Food for only a few Zloty as well as delicious meals
and dinner. Here, everyone will find something of
his taste. In the Summertime one can sit at the
restaurants in the marketplace and watch the citylife
during day and night.
Ines' favourite restaurants are the "Milkbars" where you can get fabulous Pirogi and several traditional meals for a few Zloty. Krakow is full of these restaurants. There are also a few that has specialized on jewish cuisine and provide international food, too.
A mediterranean Flair is given by the numerous Flower-Sellers offering real garden flowers we never get to see under "normal circumstances". |
