How to get there

Cheaper Airlines change their Program frequently, just surf around the Web:

http://www.easyjet.de

http://www.germanwings.com

Departing from Berlin minimizes your options to the polish Airline Lot, but you can book cheap "germanwings" flights from Cologne. Additionally there's the regular Night-Train leaving Berlin we used often years ago when travelling to Krakow.

Alternatively there are Cheap flights from Stuttgart, Munich, Cologne and London, of course.
